ROWMEC Equipment Company's patented R.O.W. King™ Cutter head attachment
is designed to be mounted on an assortment of tractors, loaders,
and other prime movers. It is one of the most efficient means to
save time, money and labor on a wide range of land clearing jobs.
The R.O.W. King™ is tough and powerful, being able to cut through heavy
brush and trees up to fifteen inches in diameter, on a continuous basis.
The R.O.W. King™ will clear brush and trees to ground level with nothing
to haul away or burn when the job is done .
If safety is a concern, consider that the wood chips from the
R.O.W. King are cast forward and downward, thus eliminating side-throw
which can endanger lives and property. This action allows the R.O.W.
King to be operated next to highways and buildings. and when the
land is cleared, because the R.O.W. King cuts flush with the ground
and it chips what it cuts, rubber tired vehicles can drive onto
the land immediately.
When you compare the R.O.W. King with other methods of land clearing
you discover an economical and environmentally sound alternative.
The Alternatives :
Land
clearing with a work crew using chain saws and chippers is slow
and costly. You still have the chipped material to dispose of,
which requires you to spread it out or haul it away. This
is added time, equipment and money.
Land
clearing with a bulldozer using a blade attachment leaves material,
which must be hauled away or burned. While hauling is ecologically
more acceptable than burning, it is an expensive and unnecessary
cost.
Let's talk a little bit about the R.O.W. King Head itself. The
head uses a series of patented free-swinging, double edged teeth
mounted on a rotor assembly. The rotor runs at a constant speed
and direction independent of the prime mover. The teeth chip and
cut standing material and continue to chip the felled material
into mulch. If a tooth should strike a rock, it swings up into
the rotor for protection and then returns to its cutting position.
These teeth can be sharpened in the field without removal of the
rotor. They are also easily reversed or replaced when required.
The R.O.W. King is a multi-use workhorse. The economy and convenience
make it useful for land clearing, site preparations, landfill volume
reduction and right-of-way clearing.
Model 7010H is a hydrostatic unit with a seven foot ten inch cutting
width, which can be used with prime movers, which have auxiliary
hydraulic power.
All R.O.W. Kings use tree pushers constructed of tubular steel
cross members and wings. These protect the operator from falling
trees and they direct the trees into the path of the machine's
cutters.
The rotor assembly is constructed with 33 patented free-swinging
heat-treated, alloy-steel teeth (seven-foot, ten-inch head), offset
mounted in three rows at alternate openings, with each row over
lapping to ensure a continuous cut. Three cutter support rods extend
through each row of teeth on the rotor assembly. The rotor
spins at 2,100 RPM with a minimum of vibration because all rotors
are dynamically balanced before and after head assembly.
“Why shred and beat the wood material with carbide
hammers, when you can cut and chip the material in half the
time?”
ROWMEC also builds complete clearing machines on different prime
movers.
Reconditioned units are also available.
